Hands-on Health was recently involved in a series of events run by the Devon Partnership NHS Trust (DPT), which provides mental health and learning disability services. These annual Our Journey events offer an opportunity for all DPT staff members to come together with their Chief Executive and Chair to review the past year and look to the year ahead. This year, they included an exhibition area centred around staff health and wellbeing.
Albie attended, along with six other companies, the events held in Tiverton, Exeter, Dawlish, Barnstaple, Torquay and Newton Abbot.
Giving health advice and information about the variety of services we provide, Albie was also asked to offer short seated massage sessions (10-15 mins) to attendees during the breaks. He explains:
“I talked to a number of people with many different health and fitness issues ranging from simple neck and shoulder pain due to poor work posture, to more complex sports-related fitness problems, such as hip and knee pain, as a result of injury. Everyone I met and spoke to was very appreciative of the advice and positive about the help this type of event provided, both on the day and for the future.”
The health and wellbeing of NHS staff is crucial to their ability to provide the amazing service we have in this country, and we are today launching an NHS discount to help all those who need extra care themselves.
Anyone showing their NHS identity tag will receive a 10% discount across all Hands-on Health therapies and classes.
