Song Chowbanko

Song is a fully qualified and experienced Thai therapist and masseuse who trained at The Union of Thai Traditional Medicine Society. She is originally from Bangkok and has a wealth of experience in providing traditional Thai massage for more than seven years in the UK. She built a team offering in-house wellbeing massage treatments to professional clients mainly in Leeds City Centre as well as managing a massage salon in Ilkley, West Yorkshire before moving to Devon with her husband and joining the Hands-on Health team.

Song offers a range of traditional Thai massage therapies. These make use of warm aroma oils and hand-made herbal balm, which brings many benefits to the body, mind and spirit. Thai massage relieves aching muscle tension, removes toxins from the muscle mass and increases joint mobility and flexibility. It improves blood circulation and stimulates lymphatic systems. It's great for recharging the batteries, both physically and mentally.

She uses a combination of rhythmic acupressure, compression techniques and yoga stretching to relieve muscular tension; these can be gentle and soothing or deep-tissue depending on your requirements. She will talk to you to help you decide on the best treatments to meet your own particular circumstances and needs.

Song has always been interested in health and wellbeing and enjoys being active - walking, swimming and trying different exercises including yoga, Pilates and exploring new activities in Devon, both along the coast and in the countryside. She loves gardening as well as cooking and baking in her spare time.
