Dominque first hit the yoga mat on her thirtieth birthday and she hasn’t looked back since. That was over 10 years ago. While her initial yoga experience was sporadic, she discovered over the years that yoga was the place she went to relax, breathe, meditate, stretch, exercise and generally devote some time to herself, even if it meant just two or three hours a week. As the years have passed, yoga has become an integral part of her daily life, a moving meditation and a way of ensuring mental and physical health, as she realises the benefits and importance of keeping the mind and body connected through yoga.
Her personal practice is Ashtanga and for the last couple of years she has travelled to India to deepen her practice and gain experience from different teachers in different styles including Ashtanga, Vinyasa and Yin yoga. At the beginning of 2014 she completed a 200 hour Yoga Alliance teacher training course in Ashtanga/Vinyasa, in India.
As a teacher, Dominique is looking to share the experience and benefits of yoga in an environment that is relaxed, open and enjoyable.
