Ashtanga yoga
Ashtanga yoga, taught at Hands-on Health by Neil Richardson, is a very dynamic form of yoga using 75 postures in all. Each movement is linked with the breath, each posture is working on the release of toxins whilst heating the body.
Between sitting postures there is a vinyassa (a dynamic movement that wipes the body’s memory clean making it ready for the next posture) which in turn works to produce sweat and force toxins out.
Eventually the idea is to follow the breath with the movement with complete concentration; this all takes time, but eventually the practitioner will know the practice and can be taught further in an unled class.
