Aaron Goodwin

Aaron has been training Tai Chi intensely for 15 years. He teaches five loosening exercises, short form, long form, fast form, push hands and daoist meditation, as taught to him by his own teacher Patrick Kelly, himself a long-time indoor student of Huang Shen Shyan. He also runs classes in Exeter and Buckfastleigh with Open Palm Taiji, a member of the Tai Chi Union of Great Britain.

In addition, Aaron practises myofascial release, and in 2008 was asked to treat the UK parkour (free running team) with great results. He is currently undergoing Level 3 training with Myofascial Release UK.

In teaching Tai Chi and treating sports injuries with myofascial release, he has been helping post-operative and severely-injured clients back into physical movement.

Aaron has a strong interest in meditation. He also enjoys time out surfing  – tai chi helps with that of course – as well as walks, places of peacefulness, spiritual development, and food.

Others’ well-being is a prime driver in his life.
